After being graduated in Tax Law at Leiden University, Edwin started his career as an international tax lawyer at a BIG4 firm in 1993. Subsequently, he joined a local Dutch bank where he provided tax support to both the bank’s corporate- and private clients. After that, he returned to the international corporate tax practice at another BIG4 firm. There he initially focused on the Financial Markets and Energy & Utilities sector before joining the M&A team to supervise reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence investigations.
In 2003 Edwin became a partner at a Rotterdam based tax boutique specialized in assisting foreign investors/industries in starting up greenfield projects in the Netherlands and or other EU countries. Later on he also advised many Duch based corporate clients on the international tax implications of their cross-border business ventures, including the implementation of Transfer Pricing policies.
As per September 2021, he has started a new challenge with HVK Stevens as their Head of Tax Rotterdam. Here he will be contributing to the expansion of our international tax practice.
