From Boutique Start-up to International Advisory Firm
HVK Stevens started in 2011 as a small-scale firm founded by three tax specialists in Amsterdam. Their vision: to combine personal involvement with top quality in legal, tax, and financial advice. Today, HVK Stevens has grown into an internationally operating advisory firm with offices in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Luxembourg, and Curaçao. With a team of over 90 professionals, we continue to build sustainable client relationships, multidisciplinary collaboration, and groundbreaking solutions. The opening of our new headquarters on Apollolaan in 2024 marks a new chapter in our growth.

The Founding (2011) – A Boutique with Vision
HVK Stevens was founded in 2011 in Amsterdam by three tax specialists. Their goal was to create a firm where high-quality expertise is combined with personal commitment and short communication lines. From the very beginning, the focus has been on a multidisciplinary approach within the tax, legal, and financial domains.
Growth through Trust and Expertise
In the following years, HVK Stevens steadily grew into a team of over 90 professionals. The organization attracted talent in multiple disciplines and grew while maintaining its boutique culture. The close collaboration between colleagues and the intensive client relationships remained the heart of the organization.
International Expansion
In order to support its clients across borders, HVK Stevens expanded internationally.
Offices opened in:
- Amsterdam
- Rotterdam
- Luxemburg
- Curaçao
These offices strengthen HVK Stevens' ability to handle cross-border investments, governance issues, and international wealth structures.
A New Phase – Apollolaan 150 (2024)
In November 2024, HVK Stevens opened its new headquarters at Apollolaan in Amsterdam. This milestone symbolized a new phase of growth for the firm. The opening was celebrated with an art exhibition by ArtZuid, sculptures by Iris le Rutte, and a festive networking event with live music.

Knowledge Sharing and Innovation
HVK Stevens distinguishes itself by actively contributing to the development of the field. Through podcasts, roundtables, and publications, the firm demonstrates that it not only provides advice but also seeks dialogue on current issues in taxation, governance, and estate planning.

As Office Manager of HVK Stevens, Jacqueline Ploeg-Sanôu was the linchpin of the company from its inception. She was wholeheartedly involved in the ins and outs of the company until the very end. Sadly, Jacqueline lost her battle with cancer at the end of 2022. With this in memoriam, we would like to thank her for her tireless dedication and for laying the foundations of HVK Stevens.
