Counsel/Senior Associate Investment funds

For our Luxembourg practice, we are looking for an experienced, commercially driven investment funds lawyer at the counsel/senior associate level with an ambition to eventually join as a partner. You will play a key role in further expanding the Luxembourg practice.

The ideal candidate profile

• At least 7 years of relevant post qualification experience;
• This role requires the candidate to be admitted to the Luxembourg Bar or to be eligible for registration on List IV of the Luxembourg Bar;
• Strong technical expertise in complex funds matters;
• Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to provide practical, commercially focused legal advice;
• Demonstrable ability to manage complex matters independently while also contributing to team initiatives;
• Experience in working in an international environment;
• Fluent in English. A good command of French, German, and/or Dutch is a plus;
• Strong commercial awareness and business development capability;
• Proven ability to provide timely, commercial advice to clients;
• Ability to build strong internal and external client relationships;
• Having a portable business is a strong advantage and will be recognized both financially and in the project itself.

Responsibilities

• Advising clients on a wide range of matters, with a particular focus on providing legal advice on Luxembourg fund formation, ongoing legal and regulatory compliance as well as restructuring of Luxembourg investment vehicles;
• Engaging in business development activities, being active in the promotion of the firm and investigating opportunities for new work and cross-selling;
• Working as an integral part of the team, including supervising junior lawyers’ work, and taking an active part in sharing knowledge and experience within the team;
• Liaising with our colleagues from the Dutch office, the Luxembourg authorities as well as domestic and international clients;
• Being involved in the further expansion of our Luxembourg practice.
