Tim van Veen

Tim van Veen started his career as a corporate and commercial litigation lawyer, after which he transitioned to HVK Stevens’ international legal team. Here he advises shareholders and stakeholders of (growth) companies in all stages of development in good times and in bad times. His expertise covers (debt) restructuring, governance, commercial contracts (including among others, loans, convertible notes, simple equity agreements, settlement agreements), emergency finance, exits, liquidations, disputes and so forth. 

Working closely with HVK Stevens’ tax team, Tim assists clients with international expansion as well as onshoring and offshoring structures, particularly via the Netherlands and Luxembourg.  

Tim has a strong focus on Egypt and the wider MENA region. He is familiar with the day-to-day challenges companies face in these markets, such as high maintenance costs, opening bank accounts, IFRS audits, and KYC requirements, and he is certainly well-positioned to provide tested solutions.
