Sandra advises both Dutch and international listed companies on corporate taxation and international tax law. She also supports high-net-worth families with cross-border investments. Her expertise covers complex reorganizations, financial restructurings, mergers and acquisitions. Sandra is recognized for her specialization in supporting companies at the forefront of energy transition, providing tax guidance on innovative projects in battery technology and renewable wind energy.
In addition to her advisory practice, Sandra is often invited by ministries and embassies in the Netherlands to share current tax and legal developments in Europe and the broader geopolitical context. In doing so, she plays an active role in interpreting global trends and translating them into strategic decision-making.
Sandra holds three Master’s degrees from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam: Tax Law, International & European Law, and Corporate Law. She is an active member of several leading professional associations, including the International Fiscal Association (IFA), the International Bar Association (IBA) and the Dutch Association of Tax Advisors (NOB).
Work highlights
-Advised and led the Dutch tax and legal team on the USD 1.2 billion sale of Gelnex Group, the leading global producer of collagen products with 17 production facilities in multiple countries to Darling Ingredients Inc. (NYSE:DAR).
-Advised the largest onshore windpark in the Netherlands on its Dutch tax position, issued a tax opinion for the bank syndicate to have its funds released and is actively involved post Project Completion.
-Advised a leading Dutch fund regulated by the AFM on setting up a new investment structure for residential property in the US Sun Belt States.
